History of Bangbros

Bang Bros is a pornographic website begun by Kristopher Hinson in 2000 when he was a student at the University of Florida, USA. Since 2017, the network of sites has been owned by the Czech company WGCZ Holdings, the owners of Xvideos. The BangBros website offers its members a wide variety of porn, in a large selection of sites, and includes a bonus site loyalty scheme.

BangBros History

Bang Bros (also styled as BangBros) started life in Florida in 2000 as the brainchild of student Kristopher Hinson. It all began with Bang Bus, in which Kristopher was involved, a new and innovative site that took a slightly different approach to porn. Simply put, they invited girls to bang in the back of a bus; it was porn that could be made on the cheap, but it was made well, and its success led to what is now one of the larger online porn networks.

Thanks to the popularity of Bang Bus and, soon after, Ass Parade, Bang Bros began a meteoric rise to prominence in the porn industry. Adding new sites, the company grew, and took in the popular cam sites Camster.com and Naked.com, though Bang Bros sold these off in 2019.

Bang Bros bought Girls Gone Wild in 2014, and by June 2018 they were reported as owning 60 sites. Now, in August 2022, their network consists of 112 sites, including Bang Bus and Ass Parade, though some of the sites are no longer operational and exist as archives. The full network offers porn in 535 categories and gives members the opportunity to unlock more sites the longer they maintain their membership.

The network is now owned by WGCZ S.R.O. (who also own Xvideos.com). The company bought the network and its associated sites in 2017.

Trivia

Bang Bros once operated a Spanish-language porn site based in Colombia. This was called "Culioneros" and taped on location providing local versions of their famous content such as found on Bang Bus.

The U.S. Government sued Bang Bros in June 2005, because they had not put ‘sexually explicit’ in the subject line of their emails. There exists a Federal Trade Commission ruling that requires e-mails from makers of explicit material (i.e. porn sites) to state ‘explicit material’ in their subject lines. The case was settled with $650,000, and Bang Bros agreed to have its operations monitored for future compliance.

In 2019, Bang Bros bought PornWikiLeaks, a site known for publishing real names and details of porn actors and actresses. When Bang Bros took possession of the gathered information, they immediately destroyed the database, thereby helping to protect those who work in the industry.

Also in 2019, when American Airlines announced it was not renewing its contract with the Miami Heat stadium, Bang Bros tried to buy the naming rights for the basketball venue, with the intention of renaming their stadium the Bang Bros Centre. Allegedly, they bid $10 million, but nothing came of the offer, and commentators put it down as a publicity stunt.

In 2020, Bang Bros launched FactsBeatFiction.com as a way of disputing allegations against them made by Mia Khalifa, a web personality and former porn star. They had already sent a cease-and-desist order claiming some remarks she made were false and defamatory.

Bang Bros currently lists 112 sites in its network, with others available for members to add as bonuses. However, it is not clear how many of these are Bang Bros originals, nor what is directly available for a standard membership. Not all of the sites are still active and remain as archives.
